Chesterton Montessori School owners Haresh and Nikky Prithyani, who are married, plan to open the Teriyaki Madness in Valparaiso at 2502 Calumet Ave. on June 10. It will be the first Teriyaki Madness in the state of Indiana, but the restaurant plans more growth in the Hoosier state.
"After a family member introduced them to Teriyaki Madness, the 75-plus unit Seattle-style teriyaki shop, they fell in love with the food, concept and the fact that the brand is one of the fastest-growing franchises," the restaurant said in a news release. "At first, the couple was skeptical about franchising and had little information on the industry. However, once they became familiar with the Teriyaki Madness brand, met the corporate team and tasted the delicious food, they were sold. And they're already looking forward to opening up more locations in the future."
Teriyaki Madness is offering several specials on its first weeks, including $5 junior and regular chicken teriyaki bowls on June 10 and June 11. It will have a grand opening celebration at 10:30 a.m. June 10. Anyone who orders through the app between June 10 and June 16 will get the chance to be one of five winners of free Teriyaki Madness food for a year or one of 20 to win free Teriyaki Madness for a month.
And then on June 12, $1 from every bowl purchase will be donated to Chesterton Montessori School.
