The Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors has hired long-time member Joe Wszolek as its new chief operating officer.
Wszolek has been active in the real estate industry for almost 25 years as a real estate agent or appraiser. He has served on both the GNIAR and GNIAR Multiple Listing Service boards of directors. He has also served as treasurer and president-elect for GNIAR, as well as serving on numerous committees and task forces.
Wszolek is president of the Porter County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals and a member of the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission's 2040 Comprehensive Regional Plan Steering and Implementation Committee.
Wszolek received his bchelor of science in supervision/management from Purdue University and his masters of science in business administration from Indiana University. He holds several real estate designations and certifications and was named Realtor of the Year in 2012.
The COO position was previously held by longtime GNIAR employee Pat Pullara, who retired in April.
