Candidates begin filing for 2024 elections in Indiana

Lake County Recorder Gina Pimentel was first in line — again — at the Lake County Election Board Wednesday morning to file her paperwork to run for a second term as county recorder. The Democratic candidate arrived more than hour before the elections office even opened to be at the front of the line, just as she did in 2020.
