Devil's Trumpet to release bourbon barrel-aged Russian style imperial stout

Devil's Trumpet microbrewery owners George Brasovan, Steve Carter, Chris Pearson and Bob Lusin. Pearson and Lusin are also the brewers. The brewery releases its bourbon barrel-aged Russian style imperial stout Heaven's Court Saturday.

Rejoice like a choir of angels, because Devil's Trumpet Brewing Co. is going to release its bourbon barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout Heaven's Court on Saturday.

The craft brewery will celebrate its third annual Heaven's Court Day from noon until 7 p.m. Saturday at its brewery at 8250 Utah St., in an industrial park just off U.S. 30 east of the Southlake Mall in Hobart.

It's a cash-only event where craft beer lovers can get their hands on 22-ounce bottles or 12-ounce 4-packs of Heaven's Court described as, "a gnarly Russian-style imperial stout blended with El Popular Mexican chocolate and Dark Matter coffee" that's aged in Four roses bourbon barrels. It's stronger than wine, with an ABV of 15 percent.

"It will be our third year in business and our third Heaven’s Court Day," Devil's Trumpet Chief Brewing Officer Bob Lusin said. "We will be releasing the 2017 version of our bourbon barrel aged Russian-style imperial stout Heaven’s Court. We will also be selling two variants of Heaven’s Court this year."

Devil's Trumpet also will release its Imperial IPA Make it A Double Cheeseburger and Plum Deee-Lite Sour Ale at Saturday's festival. It will also serve its Chocolate Taco Imperial Oatmeal Stout, its English Muffin bourbon barrel-aged barley wine, 2016 Biscuits for Smut American barley wine, Captain’s Quarters Sour ale, Tradition bourbon barrel-aged English Mild, The Diplomat Belgian style dark strong ale, Vanilla Bean Night Goat Coffee Stout, Apricot Attire Required Petite Saison, Occupancy 46 American stout, #tryn2becool New England style IPA, My Ghetto IPA, Time Traveler Rye IPA, Make it A Cheeseburger IPA, Farmhouse Gypsy Belgian Blonde ale, Sonic Tighten Pale Ale, Summer Garden Summer ale, 30 Beets Per Minute Brett beer, Space Caravan IPA, Night Goat Coffee Stout, Water Melon Haze New England IPA, Ghetto Dreamz IPA and Little Egypt Saison.

In additional to all the beers, including special beers tapped from its cellar, Devil's Trumpet will host the Grindhouse Cafe and Peace, Love and Grub food trucks to provide sustenance. 

The Surfaholics and Positive Vibe Technicians will perform live music throughout the day.

The 21-and-over event will cost $10 at the door.
