Disposable Theatre improv aims for laughs at show this weekend in Valpo

Members of the Disposable Theatre improv comedy group rehearse in 2015 in director Bob Craig's garage in Chesterton. The group plans a show in downtown Valpo Saturday.

If you could use a laugh, Valparaiso-based Disposable Theatre will do a new improv comedy show Saturday night in downtown Valparaiso.

Disposable Theatre and its second, newer improv team Same Difference will perform on stage together at 8 p.m. Saturday at Parea Restaurant and Lounge at 69 Franklin St. in Valparaiso. Tickets cost $10.

"You’ve seen Same Difference. You’ve seen Disposable Theatre," the improv group said in a Facebook announcement of the performance. "Now it’s time for something new. We’re taking our improv up a notch, from games to stories that will blow your mind and make you laugh."

The improv troupe was founded in 2010, and now does corporate training and improv classes, as well as shows in Valparaiso and across the Region.

Doors open at 7:30 and seating is first come, first served. Tickets are available at the door, and no reservations are being accepted.
