• "Escape to Margaritaville," Nov. 9 to Dec. 2 at Oriental Theatre. The new musical, featuring new and classic songs by Jimmy Buffett, is making its pre-Broadway debut in Chicago.

• "Irving Berlin's White Christmas," Nov. 21 to Dec. 3 at Cadillac Palace Theatre. The musical, which tells the story of a song-and-dance team, features a collection of Berlin's greatest hits.

• "Beautiful - The Carole King Musical," Dec. 5 to Jan. 28 at Cadillac Palace Theatre. The musical chronicles the story of songwriter/singer Carole King.

• "Wicked," Dec. 6 to Jan. 21 at Oriental Theatre. The popular musical looks at life in the Land of Oz before Dorothy arrives.

• "The Cher Show," June 12 to July 15 at The Oriental Theatre. The story of musics icon Cher is the subject of the production.

• "The Color Purple,"  July 17 to 29 at Auditorium Theatre. The production is a 2016 Tony winner for Best Musical Revival.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater

"Q Brothers Christmas Carol," Nov. 21 to Dec. 31 at The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. The popular tale, written by Q Brothers Collective, gets hip-hop treatment.
