Attorney to release poetry book in Highland

Northwest Indiana attorney Adam Sedia has published three books of poetry.

A prominent local attorney who doubles as a man of letters is releasing his third poetry book, "Visions Beyond."

Adam J. Sedia, a past president of the Lake County Bar Association and published author, will release the new book at a launch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at Miles Books at 2819 Jewett Avenue in downtown Highland. 

Sedia, a civil and appellate litigator at the firm of Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans LLP in Merrillville, will read a selection of his poems at noon and then sign copies of the new book, which is available at Miles Book and on Amazon. Refreshments, snacks, and sweets will be served at the used bookstore.

He's a Schererville native who now lives in Griffith and who has degrees from Indiana University and DePaul University. He's published his poems in many literary journals, including Indiana Voice Journal, Tulip Tree Review, The Society of Classical Poets and The Chained Muse Review.

His previous books of verse include "The Spring’s Autumn" and "Inquietude."
