Crab Legs are featured on Saturdays at Options Buffet.

Visitors to Blue Chip Casino's Options Buffet will regularly find an array of dishes, food stations and special dining themes.

Blue Chip Casino is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. During its two decades of operation, the casino has presented a variety of food offerings at assorted restaurants on the property.

At Options Buffet, diners surely will quell those hunger pangs as the restaurant features everything from good old American fare, seafood offerings, Latin-themed dishes and Asian recipes to various salads, side dishes and desserts.

During a recent Saturday visit to Options for the restaurant's weekly Prime Rib and Crab Legs Night, the buffet was packed with diners. Every Saturday, the eatery offers all-you-can-eat prime rib and crab legs for $34.99 per person.

The Prime Rib and Crab Legs Night begins at 3 p.m. every Saturday and a great number of diners begin start in line about a half hour before it opens. So there's usually a good sized line to enter Options. The wait isn't too long, though, and the line continues to move swiftly immediately after the doors open.

Our dinner began with Crab Legs, which were served with freshly drawn butter. We later enjoyed a slice of prime rib and also tested various side dishes such as potatoes au gratin, corn, broccoli and more.

Also enjoyed were tastings of Asian dishes, strip steak, a made-to-order salad from the chef-manned salad station and assorted desserts.

At the dessert bar, guests may also get ice cream and Root Beer Floats or Orange Dreamsicle Floats.

Among other specially themed dinners at the buffet are the Chuck Wagon BBQ on Thursdays ($24.99), which features items such as BBQ ribs, chicken, pork brisket and more from 3 to 9 p.m.

Other options include the Blue Chip Brunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays ($18.99); the 777 Sunrise Special Breakfast ($7.77); and the Butcher's Block Buffet Special ($24.99) starring pork, chicken, beef, kabobs and other dishes.
