Pokro Brewing's Halloween-themed POKtoberfest to return

Pokro Brewing in Griffith.

Last year, Spock, zombies, Chewbacca, the San Diego Chicken and "Futurama" characters descended on downtown Griffith to drink some craft beer and raise funds for first responders.

The suds-soaked costume party is coming back.

Pokro Brewing, the craft brewery that specialized in European-style beers at 311 N. Broad St. in Griffith, is bringing back its Halloween-themed POKtoberfest on Oct. 28, and awarding prizes for the best costumes. The craft beer beer festival will take place between noon and 5 p.m. on Broad Street between Lake Street and Miller Street, with VIP admittance at noon and general admission at 1 p.m.

Attendees dress in Halloween costumes and will get a chance to sample Pokro beers such as its Caveman brown ale, Racecar & Unicorn IPA, Cammit wheat ale and of course its POKtoberfest harvest ale, as well as beers from other breweries.
