RIO RANCHO, NM - James Alan Luebcke, age 68, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, formerly Crown Point, IN passed on to see his Lord and Savior on October 9, 2018. He was employed by NIPSCO for 34 years, and a Marine Corp Reserves Veteran. Jim was an avid Yankees fan, loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He and Mary loved traveling and spent many enjoyable vacations, especially in Mexico. Jim was a devout Lutheran and was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Crown Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and MaeJean Luebcke; in-laws: George and Freida Devyak; brother-in-law, Robert Devyak. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary; daughter, Heather (Paul) Minekus of Valparaiso; loving grandchildren: Joshua, Anya, Ella; sisters: Nancy Burgeson of AZ, Janet (Bob) Bailey of Lowell; brother, Ron (Laura) Luebcke of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law: Georgia (late Gary) Becker, Carol (Paul) Abbate, Barbara Nicholson, Diane (Tom) Lukasik, Lori Devyak; brother-in-law, George (Sue) Devyak Jr. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Friends may visit Jim's family on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. A Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 8061 E. Lincoln Highway, Crown Point. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
