VALPARAISO — Police responded to the Victory Christian Academy, 360 N. 325 East, Thursday morning after an active shooter alarm was sounded.

"Officers and Porter County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a FALSE alarm through the school alert system for Victory Christian Academy," according to a post on the Porter County Sheriff's Department's website.

"Responding officers confirmed there was no threat and no incident at the school. The alarm was activated accidentally," according to the statement.
