GARY — A man was robbed of his wallet, cellphone and new car Saturday night in the city's Miller section, police said.

A 33-year-old Gary man told police he arrived in the 6200 block of Hemlock Avenue about 5:45 p.m. and was removing items from the car when he was approached by two men in face masks, Gary police Cmdr. Jack Hamady said.

One of the men pulled a gun and demanded the man turn over his wallet, phone and passcode to his phone, police said.

The man complied, and the two suspects got into his gray 2018 Acura and drove away. A white car parked in a neighbor's driveway, occupied by at least one man, followed the two suspects in the Acura, police said.
