Authorities searching for missing Valpo mother, daughter

The Porter County Sheriff's Office announced Friday it opened a missing persons investigation for a 22-year-old mother and her 4-year-old daughter.

Mother Jessica Allison and daughter Aislin Grace Allison, both of Valparaiso, were last heard from on a video call with Jessica's husband around 7 p.m. Friday.

Ride along with LaPorte Police Specialist Justin Dyer as he patrols the streets of LaPorte.

The husband is an over-the-road truck driver and was outside of Indiana at the time of the call, police said.

Anyone with information about the pair is asked to call Porter County Central Communications at 219-477-3170 or 911.

Physical descriptions of Jessica and Aislin were not immediately available.

"The family of these two are very concerned — please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time," Porter County Sheriff's Cpl. Benjamin McFalls said. "The incident is currently under investigation and we have no further information at this time."
