EAST CHICAGO — Police on Tuesday released surveillance images of one of two suspects in two armed robberies.

East Chicago police were dispatched at 6:55 a.m. May 26 to a market in the 1600 block of Broadway for a robbery, Lt. Marguerite Wilder said.

Two suspects, one of whom had a gun, robbed the store of $40 and a person outside the store of $216.

Police think the two men were involved in another robbery in the 3900 block of Deal Street, Wilder said.

In the second case, two men with black guns attacked a resident behind his home and robbed him of $400.
