Try 3 months for $3

CROWN POINT — Police seized more than 7 ounces of Ecstasy, hallucinogenic mushrooms, cocaine and marijuana during a raid last month at a Griffith home, court records say.

Vincent M. Prather, 22, was wanted on a warrant Friday for six felony counts, including dealing in a controlled substance, dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.

His brother, Joshua Prather, 21, was in custody Friday on one felony count of maintaining a common nuisance, Lake County sheriff's spokesman Emiliano Perez said.

Vincent and Joshua Prather rent a residence in the 700 block of North Woodlawn Avenue in Griffith that was raided Feb. 13 by the Lake County Drug Task Force, court records say.

Police obtained a search warrant for the residence after a confidential informant purchased 4.6 grams of Ecstasy from Vincent Prather, records say. During the alleged sale, Prather told the confidential informant he had about a pound of Ecstasy and could facilitate a larger purchase, records says.

When police arrived to execute the warrant, the Prather brothers and several other people were inside the home. Police found Ecstasy and psilocybin mushrooms packaged in separate bags and paraphernalia used to weigh and package drugs, records say.

Besides about 6.7 ounces of Ecstasy, police found 4.4 grams of cocaine, 5.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 12.5 grams of marijuana, records say.
