GARY — City housing officials are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the capture of a person who robbed an employee at gunpoint June 2. 

The incident occurred at the Carolyn B. Mosby High-Rise, 650 Jackson St., in Gary, according to a news release from Gary Housing Authority posted to the Police Department's Facebook page. 

The reward is for information "leading to the arrest and conviction" of the person responsible for the armed robbery, the release stated.

A GHA employee on June 2 was approached by an individual brandishing a pistol, police said. The person demanded money and valuables at gunpoint, according to police.
