CALUMET CITY — Police are investigating the death of a 57-year-old man found with a gunshot wound to the torso Tuesday morning. 

Erdell C. Anderson, of Calumet City, was shot about 11:10 a.m. in the 200 block of Pulaski Street. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died at 1:04 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Chief Christopher Fletcher said a firearm was recovered from the scene, and police are questioning a person of interest.
