HAMMOND — Hammond Police and the FBI are seeking two men who are suspected of robbing a Horizon Bank branch Monday afternoon.

According to Hammond police, two men entered the bank at 1349 Calumet Ave. around 1:30 p.m. and approached a teller. One man allegedly pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

Police said the men were given money and fled on BMX style bicycles. No one was injured. 

One suspect was described as a short, stocky, dark-skinned male, believed to be more than 30 years old, wearing a green vest, white construction-type hard hat and sunglasses. The second suspect was described as a tall, thin black male wearing a blue hoodie, mask, sunglasses and a baseball cap, according to police.

As of Monday night, the suspects remained at large.
