MUNSTER — A man and woman wearing masks robbed a gas station at gunpoint early Wednesday, police said.

A man and woman entered a Speedway in the 9600 block of Calumet Avenue about 12:15 a.m., Munster police Lt. Ed Strbjak said.

The man displayed a gun and demanded money.

The pair left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes and ran south, police said.

The man was described as 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10, with a thin build, black hoodie, gray pants, white gloves and black baseball cap.

The woman was described as having a thick build, black hoodie, camo pants, white gloves and black baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 219-836-6630 and ask for the detective bureau.
