Police investigated an anonymous bomb threat Monday at a Crown Point school.

The threat, allegedly sent to a large number of cellphone users through a text message, said, “I'm blowing up the school,” according to a news release posted Monday night to the Crown Point Police Department's Facebook page.

Police said they were unable to identify the messenger or substantiate the text as a viable threat, but the investigation was ongoing and the department would release more information as it became available.

The department thanked parents for information about the threat and said an “enhanced police presence” will be at Crown Point schools Tuesday as an added security measure.

“The safety of everyone that visit and attend our Crown Point schools is paramount to our police department,” the release states.
