Schererville police looking for man who stole $700 napkin dispenser

This man is suspected of stealing an automatic napkin dispenser worth more than $700 from the Schererville White Castle restaurant, police said. 

SCHERERVILLE — Police are seeking information about the identity of a man suspected of stealing an automatic napkin dispenser worth more than $700 from a White Castle restaurant.

After finishing a meal about 4:50 a.m. Feb. 11 at the restaurant at 800 W. U.S. 30, the man unplugged the dispenser from the counter and left, police said.

The man was described as white, in his 30s, about 5-foot-11 and 260 pounds. He had brownish-blond hair and a full beard, and was wearing a black North Face coat and jeans.

Police released a surveillance photo of the man. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 219-322-5000.
