CROWN POINT — A 74-year-old man is wanted on charges alleging he possessed dozens of videos and several images of child pornography showing prepubescent girls being sexually abused.

Ronald M. Lawrosky Sr., of Crown Point, first became a target of a police investigation in September 2016 after authorities monitoring downloads of suspected child pornography traced a download to Lawrosky's IP address, court records say.

The investigation continued until January 2018, and police traced several more downloads to Lawrosky, according to Lake Criminal Court records.

Police executed a search warrant March 13, 2018, at Lawrosky's home in the 1600 block of West 100th Avenue in Crown Point and seized a computer tower.

The computer contained five images and 64 videos showing children younger than 16 being sexually abused or in sexual poses, records allege.

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Lawrosky, who is to be held on a $90,000 bail after he's taken into custody.
