A Portage woman with an alleged blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit crashed her car Wednesday night into a fence in Porter, police said.

But first, according to a Porter Police Department report, Jennifer Malocha, 41, entered the home of someone she didn't know and climbed into bed with the resident. She then left the home, got back into her vehicle and struck a fence.

Police were called about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 800 block of South 23rd Street.

When police arrived, they found Malocha sitting in her 1999 Jeep, which was resting against a privacy fence. Malocha allegedly told police she had left work and was going home. Malocha initially denied she'd been drinking.

"At this point, it became apparent that she thought she was home," reads the report, which also stated the officer could smell a "strong odor" of alcohol coming from her.

Malocha was transported to Porter County Jail on charges of felony operating while intoxicated and felony residential entry.
