CROWN POINT — Friday’s hearing in Lake Criminal Court for William “Bill” Landske, charged with murder in the shooting death of a local attorney, has been rescheduled to Nov. 30.
The 83-year-old former Cedar Lake councilman and husband of the late state Sen. Sue Landske, gunned T. Edward Page down at the victim’s Hobart home on Wednesday, Aug. 15, according to court records.
Landske allegedly told police he shot Page because he was angry with the attorney's work on his late wife's taxes, court records state. State Sen. Sue Landske died in 2015.
The omnibus hearing before Lake Criminal Court Judge Salvador Vasquez was rescheduled at the request of Landske’s attorneys, including Scott King.
A pretrial conference will take place on Jan. 04, 2019, with a jury trial set Feb. 11, 2019.
