HOBART | A project to replace the elevator in City Hall began Monday and will run through July 17, Mayor Brian Snedecor said.
The city is taking multiple actions to accommodate those who would need to use the elevator to access the council chambers on the second floor for meetings scheduled during the replacement project.

During meetings occurring while the elevator isn’t available for service, residents with disabilities can listen to meetings on the first floor through speakers, Snedecor said.
City officials also will be available on the first floor if residents want to ask a question or make a comment during meetings.
