MUNSTER | While adults gathered Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church to build 25 panels which will eventually become the walls of a new home for a qualified Habitat family, children built birdhouses.

The birdhouses, which will be given to recipients of Habit for Humanity houses, are an activity that children can do while adults assemble walls or build houses.

Rev. Richard Rogers, former pastor at Westminster returned to Munster for the build. He reportedly founded the Northwest Indiana Chapter of the Habitat for Humanity in 1985-86.
