Reading event meant to inspire National Novel Writing Month authors

HAMMOND | In honor of National Novel Writing Month, featured authors Joyce Hicks and Michael Poore will read selected pieces at Stream Line Reading Series event from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 11 at Paul Henry’s Art Gallery, 416 Sibley St.

Traditionally, on Nov. 1, participants begin writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 p.m. Nov. 30.

The event will include readings by both authors with a question-and-answer session to inspire "wrimos," followed by a Write-In to help begin nanowrimo projects and sharing of excerpts.

For additional information about Nanowrimo, including other area Write-Ins, see nanowrimo.org. Admission is $5, or $3 with potluck contribution at the door, and is open to the public.
