South Shore train

A westbound South Shore Line train travels through downtown Michigan City.

The South Shore Line is offering an extra afternoon train Saturday to accommodate an expected increase in ridership for the Women's March in Chicago. 

South Shore will run an additional westbound passenger train directly following Train 502, both arriving in Chicago at approximately 9:13 a.m.

In the afternoon, an extra eastbound passenger train will run following the event, departing Millennium Station at 4:25 p.m. and Van Buren St. at 4:28 p.m. The train will then run non-stop to Hegewisch and make all local stops before terminating at Carroll Avenue in Michigan City.

This train will not serve Hudson Lake or South Bend.
