Shawn Boswell and Paxton Lukac watch as their diver makes a splash.

St. John the Evangelist students put their problem-solving skills to the test as they designed and constructed solutions to sports themed STEM challenges over the course of a week in June. One of the challenges was to design divers that made the biggest splash. Their diver could be at most 5 centimeters by 5 centimeters and students measured the splashed water in beakers to determine the winners. SJE teacher Ceceil Rener led the program. "I absolutely love doing STEM activities with students. STEM teachers have so much fun with all the experiments," Rener said.
