The employee heard the suspect say he was supposed to get $150 from the cash register and that the rest of the bill would be settled at a later date, police said.

The suspect pretended to end the call after he received the $150 from the employee and left in a newer red Chevrolet Camaro.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime or the man involved to contact Detective John Mowery at (219) 924-7503 Ext. 256 or Griffith Police Anonymous Tip Hotline at (219) 922-3085.
