Eclipse project

Visitors at the Lake County Public Library in Merrillville made projects involving the upcoming eclipse on Monday.

MERRILLVILLE — Residents recently learned how to safely view the 2017 solar eclipse at the Lake County Public Library and received a pair of eclipse glasses. Craft activities helped everyone learn about the Sun's corona.

The solar eclipse takes place Monday. No one should look directly at the sun at any time during the eclipse. Free live streaming of the eclipse will take place at the Lake County Public Library. A pubic viewing area is also available. People can view the free live streaming of the eclipse at the Lake County Public Library.
