WESTVILLE | The Purdue University North Central career development staff will host several career fairs in upcoming months.

To provide employers and Purdue job seekers a more targeted approach, there will be four career fairs, one intended for each academic college on the PNC campus. Each fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Library-Student-Faculty Building Room 144.

The individual fairs will be:

College of Liberal Arts Fair — Sept. 19 for the education, English, communication, liberal studies and psychology programs.

College of Engineering & Technology Fair — Sept. 26 for the electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer information technology, electrical and computer engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology programs.

College of Business and Leadership Fair — Oct. 3 for the business, accounting, economics, management, organizational leadership and human resource management programs.

College of Science Fair — Oct. 10 for the nursing, biology, biochemistry, premedicine, pre-pharmacy and pre-dentistry programs.

The career fairs will give Purdue students, faculty, staff and alumni an opportunity to network with representatives from local businesses, government agencies and community organizations about full-time and seasonal employment as well as internship opportunities.

Job seekers planning to attend one or more of these events are encouraged to research the organizations they are interested in and should bring multiple copies of their resume as well as any questions they may have for prospective employers.

Registration for Purdue students and alumni job seekers is open. Employer registration is open as well. Business attire is required for these events. Jeans, T-shirts, tennis shoes, or hats are not appropriate attire.

The Office of Career Development at PNC provides career and job search services to Purdue students and alumni. As a bridge from college life to the world of work, its mission is to support the exploration of career and academic options, the development of job search skills and to facilitate connections between employers and students that lead to successful outcomes and satisfying futures.
