MICHIGAN CITY — The Dunes Arts Foundation announces the launch of its new website, 2017 Summer Theatre Season and Youth Educational programs.
“We’re extremely excited to launch our new summer season, and our new website that supports online ticket sales, facilitates DAF Membership growth, and engages the community,” said Eileen Long, president of The Dunes Arts Foundation. “This summer’s productions include poignant dramas, comedies, a fantastic musical, and suspenseful thrillers. Our summer Youth Programs will offer something for children and teens and is designed to help re-engage area youth with The Dunes Theatre.”
The Dunes Summer season productions include, Red, I Hate Hamlet, Company, The Mousetrap, Barrymore’s Ghost, and Love Letters. Show dates and times can be found on the Dunes’ website’s Box Office page.
The Dunes Youth programs include Broadway Music Kids, Youth Choral taught by members of the Chicago Lyric Opera Singers, Prenatal Play for parents to be, Kids Yoga, Youth Acrylic Painting, and Creative Dramatics. The Dunes Summer Theatre will also offer Young Adult actor-training for students aged 12-18 with a performance opportunity.
Artistic Director, Jeffrey Baumgartner, said, “The Dunes Arts Foundation is thrilled to present opportunities for training tomorrow’s actors in the region. Our goal this summer is to have the community rediscover the rich cultural legacy and heritage of The Dunes Summer Theatre as we propel into the future.”
