To make it more convenient, Porter Health Care System offers extended hours for women needing their annual mammograms. The next “Pink at Portage” is 7 a.m. to noon March 12 in the Women’s Center at Portage Hospital, 3630 Willowcreek Road.

In addition to getting their annual screening taken care of, those in attendance at the monthly “Pink at Portage” events will receive a complimentary brunch and massage.

The American Cancer Society recommends that women age 40 or older, or those considered at risk, receive a mammogram each year.

To participate in Pink at Portage, a woman must be age 40 or older and know the date of her last mammogram. Insurance will be charged and only covers one mammogram annually. For more information or to register, call (219) 983-8399.
