Ranger Shane Griffin from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore taught the girls about the animals and plants of the dunes and about the biodiversity of our unique park.

U.S. Rep. Pete Visclosky, D-Merrillville, talked to the troop about the importance of recycling and composting to help protect the natural resources in our Region. The girls earned their “Using Resources Wisely” badge.
