VALPARAISO | Paul Sur Buick GMC collected staff donations during the month of November to benefit 500 Turkeys, a fundraiser that provides local families in need with Thanksgiving meals. This is the second time the dealership has donated to the organization.

As an incentive to participate, all employees who donated a minimum of $5 each week were allowed to wear jeans to work on Fridays in November. “This is a great, fun way for our dealership to give back to those in need in our community,” said Mike Sur, president and owner of Paul Sur Buick GMC in Valparaiso. “Our community is what keeps us going, and we are honored to support a great cause that feeds families during the holidays.”

Paul Sur employees raised $100 for 500 Turkeys, and the dealership doubled and matched the donations for a total of $300.

Families served by 500 Turkeys received a turkey, roasting pans and other food items for a complete Thanksgiving meal. Paul Sur’s donation was used to purchase the food items that were included in each family’s gift box.
