My wife and I visit family in the Hammond area at least once a year. We have pretty much given up on going out to dinner because of the selfishness of the minority of smokers who make restaurants miserable for us.
We would rather get take-out or go to a local grocery store and take food back to our room rather than subject ourselves to paying for the misery of dining in smoke stinking restaurants. Perhaps if this area finally gets smart and joins the rest of the nation in banning carcinogenic smoke from its' restaurants, we'll dine out again when we next visit. Until then, we will visit but not spend our money in your restaurants.
In this economy, can you really afford to deliberately turn away business?
