SCHERERVILLE — A Schererville frozen yogurt shop has shuttered its doors for the holiday after suspects broke in and vandalized the business.

At 5:23 a.m. Monday a passerby called police to report a shattered front door at Sweet Frog at 1505 U.S. 41, Schererville Cmdr. Jeff Cook said. Officers found the landscaping rock that crashed through the glass door lying on the shop floor.

Police also found loose coins on the floor behind the counter. At this time, it is unknown what was taken from the business.

Later Monday, Sweet Frog announced their temporary closure on Facebook and posted again on Tuesday, writing, "Customers, due to burglary and some vandalism we will continue to be closed through the holiday to recover business."
