MERRILLVILLE — Unity Hospice of Northwest Indiana will offer a five-week grief support series that will provide attendees with strength, peace and, ultimately, recovery in their grieving journey. This group is open to the public and welcomes anyone experiencing grief from a recent loss.

Presented by Unity Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator Lisa Casimer, the meetings will take place at Unity Hospice’s local office at 8407 Virginia St. in Merrillville and will be held at 5 p.m. every Thursday from Feb. 15 to March 15.

Topics will include Common Grief Symptoms, Different Coping Styles for Different People, When Will I Feel Better, and more.

Grief is a normal, natural reaction to a loss of any kind — such as a loved one, a pet or a spouse. Many times, someone in mourning may not know where to turn. This grief series offers a therapeutic, compassionate and supportive environment for every individual crisis. There is no commitment and walk-ins are welcomed.
