2017 Letters to the editor stock

You give millionaires, billionaires and giant corporations a huge tax break, and the middle class will go on a spending spree and buy new cars and appliances and investments with the $200 extra dollars they get at tax time? This will jolt the economy, and everyone will be happy again — especially the millionaire billionaire and giant corporations?

Now think about it. When was the last time that economics like that worked? I’m 71, and I haven’t experienced it yet.

Now the goal for some millionaire, billionaire, giant corporations is to increase their wealth and supply stockholders with increased dividends. Giving employees raises and creating jobs is not on the top of thier list .

Greed was not taken into account in this tax plan. Then again, maybe that was the whole idea.
