Jerree Evans had 11 points for the Cardinals (1-2).

Danielle Collins had 10 points for the Red Devils.

Crown Point 72, Morton 8: Jessica Carrothers scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bulldogs to the win.

Abby Stoddard added 12.

LaPorte 78, South Bend Clay 25: Ryin Ott scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Slicers.

Riley Ott added 17.

Kankakee Valley 78, Kouts 39: Sarah Martin led four players in double figures with 16 points as the Kougars (1-3) defeated the Fillies (1-2).

Taylor Miller had 14 points, Sam Martin 13 and Catherine Cavinder 11.

Isabella Semento had nine for Kouts.

North Newton 67, River Forest 47: Morgan Mullinax scored 17 points in the loss. Madolyn Mullinax added 10.

Covenant Christian Tournament: The Knights split play in their tournament. Calumet Christian defeated Covenant Christian 51-41 in the first round.

Hope Zylstra had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Knights. Leanna Buiter had 14 points.

Buiter had 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals in a 55-26 win over Faith Christian in the third-place game.

Whiting 37, Clark 11: Lea Zorich's nine points led the Oilers past the Pioneers.
