A house was heavily damaged when a driver crashed his car into it late Thursday.
During processing at the jail, an officer noticed a string near Michael J. Bowen's groin area, police said.

"While this specific project may have been a one-day event, traffic safety remains a top priority of the Sheriff’s Office, especially along US 20," Captain Derek J. Allen said.
