"You can't be much more of a flight risk than that," Porter Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Clymer told the accused based on the allegations he is facing.
"Detectives have since determined this case did not involve a kidnapping, as what was originally reported to dispatch and the troopers who stopped the vehicle," ISP Sgt. Glen Fifield said.
Police said they approached and found Jaqwan Mitchell sleeping in the driver's seat with a handgun in his lap. An officer reached inside the vehicle window and unlocked the doors at which time Mitchell began to wake up.
