A semitrailer driver was injured early Wednesday in a jack-knife crash on northbound Interstate 65 in Jasper County, police said.

Amandi N. Chioke, 45, of Round Lake, Illinois, was driving a 2008 Volvo semi and box trailer north on I-65, about two miles north of the Remington/Rensselaer exit, about 5:35 a.m. when he lost control and the semi jack-knifed, Indiana State Police said. The trailer came to rest blocking both lanes of northbound I-65.

Chioke, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash forced the closure of northbound I-65 for more than two hours. All lanes were reopened about 7:40 a.m.
