As Crown Point moved from volleyball Sectional 2 and into Sectional 1, fans knew the Bulldogs would have to meet Munster eventually.

The Mustangs and C.P. played in the regional last season as part of the Bulldogs' route to the state finals.

This year, the two teams will meet in an opener as the IHSAA revealed the volleyball postseason draw on Monday night. The sectionals begin Oct. 10.

In Sectional 2, where Crown Point has won back-to-back years, Valparaiso opens against Hobart and Michigan City plays Merrillville on the same side of the bracket. Should the Vikings and Wolves meet, it would be in the semifinals.

In Class 3A, Hanover Central received a bye into the Kankakee Valley sectional and will play Calumet in one semifinal.

With Andrean moving into Class 2A, the Niners open the postseason against Whiting and could meet Diocese foe Bishop Noll — paired against Lake Station in the other quarterfinal — in a semifinal.

Boone Grove drew the bye and will play Rensselaer in one semifinal of the North Judson Sectional.

In the Washington Township Sectional, the host Senators open against Kouts with Morgan Township meeting Hammond Academy in another quarterfinal.

T.F. South 25-25, Oak Lawn 20-21: Elizabeth Chukwulebe, Elena Hawkins and Erin Titus each recorded four kills for the Rebels in the win.

Wheeler 25-25-25, Griffith 11-13-20: Allyson Stills led the Bearcats with 11 kills. Karly Jevert added 10 kills and Hallie Rittel had eight kills. Emma Santos recorded 21 assists.

Boone Grove 25-25-25, Covenant Christian 15-11-7: Rachel Wilkening had 11 kills to lead the Wolves (27-4) over the Knights. Josie Joiner had eight kills. Olivia Hendzel recorded 23 assists.

Washington Twp. 25-25-25, Whiting 16-7-18: Jackie Lukes and Anna Banaski had seven kills apiece for the Senators in a win over the Oilers. Haley Clark notched five aces and added 15 digs. Olivia Follis had 22 assists.

River Forest 23-25-15-25-15, Hebron 25-10-25-18-13: Abby Galligan had 12 kills and five aces for the Ingots as they outlasted the Hawks. Yesenia Cervantes added five kills.

Lake Station 25-25-25, LaCrosse 12-16-16: Bridget Collins tallied eight kills for the Eagles (10-10) in the win. Isabel Hernandez added five kills. Julie Castillo had four kills.

Boys soccer

Elkhart Christian Sectional: Washington Township (6-8-2) defeated Westville 3-0 to advance to Wednesday's semifinals against LaVille. JJ Stewart had a pair of goals. Gavin Funkhouser added a goal and two assists.
