Madi Pfister knocked down eight free-throws on her way to a game-high 14 points Saturday, leading Boone Grove to a 42-37 girls basketball win over Bishop Noll.

LaPorte 61, South Bend Riley 31: Ryin Ott notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in a blowout win for the Slicers (3-2). Riley Ott had 12 points, five assists and seven steals. Janelle O'Neal led the team with 14 points.

South Newton 48, River Forest 45: Abby Galligan had 10 points to lead the Ingots (0-4). Marissa Mays added nine.

Marquette Catholic 74, Andrean 23: Emma Nolan poured in 30 points as the Blazers (4-1) blasted the 59ers. Sophia Nolan chipped in 15 points. Morgan Crook had nine points on three 3-pointers.


LaPorte's Seaburg earns academic honor: LaPorte's Grant Seaburg has been selected as one of 25 players from throughout the state to be named to the Indiana High School Academic All-Stars Team, which is sponsored by the Colts.

He will be recognized Nov. 26 prior to the Colts-Titans game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
