More About Us

The Center for Visual and Peforming arts is a 72,660-square-foot facility that opened in 1989, providing services for meetings, seminars, banquets, weddings, dinners, theater and fine arts. An elegant dining room can accommodate up to 450 guests or be divided for smaller parties. Other unique space options are available, including smaller rooms to accommodate private parties and business meetings.

CVPA is home to Theatre at the Center, South Shore Arts, Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, The Munster Chamber of Commers and Munster Television. Supporting the cultural and educational needs of the community for more than 20 years, the CVPA is conveniently located along historic Ridge Road in Munster, only 25 miles from downtown Chicago. The completely handicapped accessible facility is surrounded by gardens and scenic Bieker Woods.

Current Specials

"Brunch is held every Sunday, with seating between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. The dining room closes at approximately 3:30 pm. Cost is $22.20 for adults; children 4-11, $11.10; and under 4 years, $3.05. Tax is included; Gratuity is not included. Reservations are recommended, required for holidays: 219-836-1930.
