Level 1: Reference testing partnership
Alverno Laboratories' level 1 partnership is the least formal relationship offered. It’s a simple partnership where a single physician, a multi-medical group with multiple sites, clinics or hospitals can send any testing they do not do on-site to Alverno Laboratories through MedSpeed’s Courier service. This low-risk partnership saves money, while offering testing support by an ISO-15189 certified laboratory.
Level 2: Strategic hospital cooperative
Alverno Laboratories' level 2 partnership is a strategic hospital cooperative partnership. Partnering hospitals get the benefits of the large volume of testing Alverno conducts, which reduces costs. Alverno Laboratories can also manage the hospital’s laboratory using Alverno Business Systems: a proven set of strategies focused on quality, service and operational strategies to enhance productivity. This is a contractual partnership that allows Alverno to conduct all non-STAT testing, while providing their partner with access to state-of-the-art technology, a reference laboratory testing menu and reduced costs.
Level 3: Integrated network
Alverno Laboratories' level 3 partnership is catered to larger hospital systems. This integrated network of hospitals has many benefits such as full-scale laboratory management and the opportunity to buy into Alverno, possibly gaining some ownership and board membership. Hospitals that take advantage of this integrated network receive all of the cost savings benefits, laboratory management assistance, access to Alverno Business Services and access to top-of-the-line technology services.
