GARY, Ind. – For the fourth straight year, Indiana University Northwest was recognized as the Best Adult Educational Institution in Northwest Indiana in the Times of Northwest Indiana’s Best of the Region awards.
Additionally, IU Northwest finished second in the Best College/University category.
“We are delighted to, once again, be recognized by the readers of the Times of Northwest Indiana,” Chancellor Arrick Jackson said. “So many of our students are non-traditional students, so it’s encouraging to know the readers continue to see us as the place for adult students to earn their degree.”

We are motivated to keep educating and preparing the people of Northwest Indiana, many of whom stay in our communities after graduation, with rewarding, impactful careers that will continue to move the region forward.”
The Times of Northwest Indiana’s Best of the Region awards highlight the best Northwest Indiana has to offer through a public vote that runs annually from late February through late March. This year, hundreds of businesses were nominated across nine categories, including Education and Instruction.
